Wax Recycling - Can you believe it?
In today's day and age, it seems almost outrageous to believe that some facilities are using, recycling, and then reusing wax.
Q: We asked the Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors how they can allow for such unsanitary use of wax?
A: While it is not sanitary by any means, because there is no code that specifically states one can not recycle wax, there is nothing we (the inspectors) can do. We have reported this to our superiors and ask that you do the same, as the code needs to change before we have something to enforce.
Q: Are there any tell tale signs of a facility that might be reusing their wax?
A: In our experience, there are a few things you might want to keep in mind:
1. Does the facility maintain a healthy supply of fresh wax on site?
2. Is the fresh wax professionally packaged? Or is it simply in a disposable baking tin, or wrapped up in clear wrap.
3. Have you ever seen the Wax Technician apply fresh wax to the heating pot, or do they simply grab another pot with wax already in it?
4. Are there two separate garbage cans in the wax rooms? Some facilities that recycle wax keep two trash receptacles in the wax rooms; one for the wax, and one for the real garbage - We assume it saves from having to separate the two later.
If you know of any facility that recycles their wax, we ask that you report it to the Department of Business and Professional Regulations immediately.
European Wax Center has our wax formulated and cured in such a process whereas we have the wax cut into little beads (similar to the size of coffee beans) thus offering our guests the utmost assurance they are being serviced with the Freshest and Highest Quality Wax. Additionally, we always maintain an overwhelming healthy supply of fresh wax onsite and our Wax Specialists are constantly adding fresh beaded wax to the heating pots throughout the day. Often times while guests are being serviced.
Website Development
We are proud to launch the first of a three phase web development project. Although not nearly complete, we wanted to get this site up and running to better our service to our Guests. We apologize for those features not currently accessible and are working diligently to finish Phase II and Phase III of this project.
Currently Disabled Feature:
-Online Purchasing
-My Account - Reservations...However, you are still able to Book Reservations Online.
-Integrated Data Amongst All Locations
-Rate My Visit
Sneak A Peak At What's To Come...
-ONLINE BOOKING
Phase II of our web development will integrate data amongst all locations through one web portal. Currently, online booking requires separate logins for each location which you must acquire at the actual location or via phone with one of our Guest Service Representatives. Ultimately, guests will simply log in and be able to book appointments for any location right from this one site.
-GUEST REWARDS
Phase II will also integrate our Guest Reward programs from all locations. Guests will have the ability to earn Guest Rewards from utilizing this site in addition to viewing your earnings and reward point usage history from all locations.
-GUEST HISTORY
Ultimately this website will be a one stop shop for viewing all account activity. This includes all history from all locations in addition to any online activity
-REAL TIME INTEGRATION
With our Real Time Integration, any purchases made online (products, packages, Gift Cards, Wax Pass, Memberships, etc.) will be instantly viewable, usable, and accessible from any location and/or our Guest Services.
